Ash Wednesday Service 2/18, 7pm

Join us on Ash Wednesday as we begin the season of Lent together—a time to return to God with honesty, hope, and renewed trust in His mercy. Our service will include Scripture, prayer, and the imposition of ashes, a meaningful tradition in the Lutheran church.

What is the imposition of ashes?

The imposition of ashes is a simple but powerful reminder of two truths:

• Our humanity: “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

• God’s mercy: Even in our brokenness, God meets us with forgiveness and new life.

Receiving ashes is not about shame—it’s about acknowledging our need for God and opening ourselves to His grace as we journey toward Easter.
